Among my childhood memories, my effeminate behavior was constantly reprimanded, the genuine way I related to the world. Adolescence distanced me from girls, with whom I had greater intimacy, and did not approach boys, who always pointed out a strangeness in me. I found myself out of place. I found myself out of place.. I’ve been hiding my fag urge to be a “normal boy”. The fag voice was silenced before she could learn to speak. I return to childhood and try to find that whisper of voice again in the intimacy I hid from others, in the abandoned memories. Who knows this way that hidden voice learns to speak and tell me who I am. “FAG VOICE” recreates a story, seeking other ways of seeing hegemonic narratives about dissident bodies and performativities since childhood, reinventing a universe of memories that are both individual and shared.
