International Panorama 2021
After almost two years of being forced to watch movies on our computers or TVs, we are back in movie theaters. Celebrating this return, the International Panorama comes more diverse than ever. We selected movies made for the big screen. Refined cinematographies, pulsating stories and vigorous interpretations distinguish these internationally acclaimed films, such as the Latin American debut of the renowned Benedetta, by Paul Verhoeven, or the shocking Georgian documentary that won the Teddy Bear in Berlin, Instructions for Survival, as well as of the world premiere of the delicate Panamanian documentary Wigudun. Another highlight is the French-Italian actress Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, who shows up twice in our lineup with surprising performances in Anaïs in Love and The Divide, winner of the Queer Palm in Cannes.
