\"\"Heloisa Passos:<\/strong> is a filmmaker and an awarded cinematographer. Has directed many short movies, among them, “Turning” with Raul de Souza and Maria Beth\u00e2nia. \u201cBuilding Bridges”, her debut feature fim as a director, has premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) and has awarded many prizes. \u201cEneida\u201d has premiered at The It’s All True \u2014 International Documentary Film Festival and was screened in Brazil and Portugal movie theaters. Among the more than 40 films she has directed photography, are awarded feature films, such as \u201cNothing Lasts Forever\u201d (Berlinale, 2022), \u201cUnremember\u201d (Veneza, 2018), \u201cA Woman and the Father” (Berlinale, 2017), \u201cI Travel Because I Have to, I Come Back Because I Love You\u201d (Veneza, 2009) and \u201cSend a Bullet\u201d (Sundance, 2007).<\/p>\n

Pedro Guimar\u00e3es:<\/strong> is a professor and researcher in Multimedia, Media and Communication (DMM) and Film (DECINE) at Unicamp Arts Institute. Author of “Helena Ignez, atriz experimental” (Edi\u00e7\u00f5es Sesc, 2021) and organizer of “Douglas Sirk, o pr\u00edncipe do melodrama” (CCBB, 2012), besides articles on film history and aesthetics, acting studies and film genre cinema (melodrama, musical, genre theory). Tiradentes Film Festival curator since 2011.<\/p>\n

Viviane Pistache:<\/strong> is black and from the state of Minas Gerais. She acts as a researcher, film critic, curator, juror and screenwright, having worked in the script development sector at Joel Zito Ara\u00fajo’s Casa de Cria\u00e7\u00e3o Cinema e Artes and Globo TV’s O2 Filmes. Graduated in Psychology from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), has a PhD at University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP). Professional training in script and direction from S\u00e3o Paulo’s Academia Internacional de Cinema (AIC-SP).<\/p>\n

BRAZILIAN COMPETITION \u2022 SHORTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"Cris Lyra:<\/strong> is a screenwright, director and cinematographer. At the moment she is producing her first feature film. Her short film “Quebramar” (2019) has been awarded as best documentary at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. As a cinematographer, she is in charge of feature films “Three Tidy Tigers Tied a Tie Tighter” by Gustavo Vinagre, and “Landless” by Camila Freitas, besides the short film “A Wild Patience Has Taken Me Here” by \u00c9ri Sarmet.<\/p>\n

\u00c9ri Sarmet:<\/strong> (they\/he) is a screenwright and nonbinary transgender director from Niter\u00f3i\/RJ. Has scripted and directed three short films: \u201cLatif\u00fandio\u201d (2017), \u201cA Wild Patience Has Taken Me Here” (2021) and \u201cVoll\u00fapya\u201d (in post-production). Officially selected in more than 70 national and international film festivals, \u201cPacience\u201d has awarded 20 prizes, including Sundance Special Jury Award. Founding partner at Excesso Filmes, Sarmet is PhD in Media and Audiovisual Processes from University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP) and was a guest researcher at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in the first half of 2023. At the moment, they develop their first feature film as a director.<\/p>\n

Kelner Mac\u00eado:<\/strong> from the state of Para\u00edba, is an actor and casting producer. Acts in the audiovisual field for 10 years amongst cinema, series and soap operas. He’s known for the film “Body Electric” by Marcelo Caetano, in which he was the leading actor. At the moment he is shooting Globoplay original soap opera “Guerreiros do Sol” and about to premiere “The Life That’s Left” by Fl\u00e1vio Botelho.<\/p>\n
