This piece poetically and sensorially reconstructs the mythical journey of Dotou, a young cartographer and vodun priestess who crosses the Atlantic in search of the exiled queen Na Agontim\u00e9, a historical figure from the Kingdom of Danxom\u00e8 (present-day Benin) deported to Brazil in the 18th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between Africa and Brazil, spirituality and memory, Kanc\u00edc\u00e0 \u2014 a word in Fongbe meaning \u201clink\u201d \u2014 proposes a physical and symbolic passage exploring the bonds between Afro-descendant cultures and the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade.
