The International Panorama brings numerous highlights of this year’s world circuit. The tender Close, by the Belgian Lukas Dhont, took the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, which also awarded the French-Moroccan film The Blue Caftan by director Maryam Touzani with the FIPRESCI prize. Top LGBTQIA+ awards are also represented: Sweden’s Nelly & Nadine captivated the Berlin Teddy jury by telling the true story of two women who met in a concentration camp, while Something You Said to Me Last Night from Canada took the Sebastiane prize at the San Sebastian Festival. The selection also includes works from the most diverse corners of the globe, from countries as different as Argentina, Lebanon and Australia, in addition to the newest works by renowned filmmakers such as João Pedro Rodrigues and Christophe Honoré.
