Mix Literário 2022 is a special edition, once it’s been five years we’ve been connecting queer authors from around Brazil, at the same time Mix Brasil Festival reaches his third decade of resistance and art. To celebrate, we will hold our first event with foreign authors; in this edition we will have a face-to-face meeting with the great violinist-writer Léonor de Récondo. It’s a first initiative to further foster dialogue between LGBTQIA+ writers from other affective territorialities. The curatorship of thematic debates is also guided by the idea of transit: “Bodies Manifesto”, “Inbetween Places of Pain, Becomings of Exile”, “Domestic [Re]existence” and “Canon Vulgarities”. We also think about the transit of a literature luminary as Mário de Andrade, a century after the Modern Art Week. And we will have a launch by João Silvério Trevisan, joining two ends of his 30-year literary journey. Finally, in this edition we will carry out an unprecedented training action, a creative queer writing workshop in person at Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, with masters of the novel, short story, poetry, chronicle and comic book genres.
