The virus of life and other viruses: a talk with the author of “Meu irmão, eu mesmo”

In 1992, João Silvério Trevisan found himself infected with HIV, and believed he would have little time to live. The tragedy, however, reaches Cláudio, his younger brother. Victim of a lymphatic cancer, he dies at the age of 48. In this shocking autobiographical romance, Trevisan deals with the intense friendship between him and his brother, developing a framework of impressive veracity on loss.
