XR includes a diversity of immersive experiences with multiple technologies offering unique interaction opportunities. Last year, in the opening of the MIX.XR projects at Mix Brasil Festival, just 1 out of 9 experiences presented was produced by Brazilians. A sign that we are in the right path, stimulating the development of new medias to tell LGBTQIA+ stories that represent our community, is that, this year, 6 out of 10 projects are Brazilian, ranging from installations to VR developed theater performances, metaverse generated environments, not to mention the world premiere of Igi Lola Ayedun’s entirely AI-generated work.
