“Virtual Intimacy” explores our relationship with technology and the ways it shapes our connections with others. Developed by artists from Taiwan and Australia alongside queer community participants in São Paulo, the performance interrogates the world through digital footprints left behind — steps taken, the Facebook friends made, Instagram photos shared and number of hookups — on the search for “virtual intimacy”.
A unique performance experiment suitable for Portuguese and English speakers, “Virtual Intimacy” explores queer stories of coming out, love, loss and finding community through technology.
