“Chechnya: a Case Study” is a performative lecture, starting from a journalistic substrate – the countless news about the violent institutional policy against homosexuals perpetrated by the Republic of Chechnya – to the creation of a fictional narrative that intends to X-ray institutional homophobia carried out by institutions such as the State and the family.
Its purpose is also to establish a relational friction between the many “Chechnyas” taking place in the Brazilian territory, through a necropolitical regime increasingly established as a practice and as a real policy in a State that omits itself and only lets the dissident bodies die, making Brazil the country that kills the most LGBTQIA+ people in the world.
