BRAZILIAN COMPETITION • FEATURES
The Brazilian Competition – Features brings together eight films from eight states, forming a sensitive mosaic of contemporary Brazilian LGBT+ cinema. The works explore affection, dissident motherhood, desire, loneliness, and the reinvention of family bonds, spanning different times and territories. From love between men in the Goiás backlands to trans motherhood struggling for dignity; from the experience of obsession and loss in metropolitan cities to the transformative power of the female imagination, the films reveal bodies in transition, conflicting identities, and the persistent search for freedom, care, and belonging in a country still marked by absence and resistance.
