MIX.LAB

MixLab, the educational section of the MixBrasil Festival, has been dedicated since 2017 to training LGBTQ+ filmmakers, offering a program that ranges from technical and scriptwriting aspects to narrative experimentation and innovative formats.

This edition of MixLab takes over three major cultural venues — CCSP, Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, and Tendal da Lapa — with activities that move between poetic reflections on grief and memory, debates on dissident bodies in the contemporary scene, and the technical specificities of immersive dome production.

The diversity of themes and technical approaches reflects MixBrasil’s commitment to preparing professionals for the multiple challenges and possibilities of Brazilian queer production, building bridges between artistic creation, technological innovation, and the political urgencies of our time.
