Show do Gongo is the anarchic and affectionate heart of MixBrasil — one of the Festival’s most anticipated and emblematic moments. Hosted by Marisa Orth since 1999, the stage transforms into a space of creative freedom and collective celebration, where the audience becomes judge, accomplice, and protagonist.
Both professional and amateur filmmakers bravely submit their works of up to five minutes, putting their talent and creativity to the test. The audience cheers loudly, applauds, and, when necessary, shouts “gonga!” in a ritual of humor and catharsis.
Show do Gongo is a tradition that celebrates the courage to put oneself out there, the joy of uncensored humor, and the beauty of not taking anything — not even oneself — too seriously.
