INCENTIVE AWARDS

  • CANAL BRASIL SHORT FILM AWARD: The Canal Brasil Short Film Award aims to encourage a new generation of filmmakers by recognizing winners in the short film category. Invited by the channel, a jury composed of critics and journalists specialized in cinema, selects the best competing short film. The winner receives the Canal Brasil trophy and a prize of R$ 15,000, along with the opportunity to broadcast on the channel, which showcases short films daily. For 26 years, Canal Brasil has been present at the country’s most prominent film festivals, breathing and existing through Brazilian cinema!
  • SELEÇÃO SESCTV PRESENTS: R$ 6,000 licensing fee for the best film in the Competitive Showcase for Short Films, chosen by a jury selected by the channel, and a two-year broadcast contract on SescTV and its digital platform (VOD).

The awarded national feature films and short films will also receive incentive awards to support the creation of their new audiovisual projects through the collaboration between the Mix Brasil Festival and supporters of the cinema sector. They include:

DOTCINE:

  • Short Film: R$ 10.000 in post-production services for the best national short film, according to the jury’s choice.
  • Feature Film: R$ 10.000,00 in post-production services for the best national feature film, according to the jury’s choice.

MISTIKA:

  • Short Film: R$ 8.000 in image post-production services for the best national short film, according to the jury’s choice.
  • Feature Film: R$ 15.000,00 in image post-production services for the best national feature film, according to the jury’s choice.

MIX.XR

SILVER RABBIT
Jury Award of the Competitive Showcase

  • Silver Rabbit awarded for the best virtual reality experience, as determined by the jury

PRÊMIOS ESPECIAIS

  • ÍCONE MIX AWARD: The Ícone Mix Award was created to honor individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the LGBT+ community.
  • MIX LITERÁRIO AWARD: Silver Rabbit awarded to the best literary contribution (book) for the LGBT+ community from Portuguese-speaking countries.
  • CAIO FERNANDO ABREU AWARD: Silver Rabbit awarded for the best unpublished literary work with queer themes or authorship.
  • SHOW DO GONGO AWARD: Silver Rabbit awarded to the video that survives the audience’s “gonging”.
  • IDA FELDMAN AWARD: Silver Rabbit awarded to the individual who stands out the most in the Mix Brasil Festival edition, from the perspective of Ida Feldman.
