Sergio Galvão Roxo, Portugal, 2023, 30’ – Sérgio Galvão Roxo (Diretor, Roteirista, Animador, Editor) Pedro Velho (Ilustrador, Roteirista, Assistente de Direção) Alexia Vitória (Narradora)

Gisberta Salce, also known as Gis, was a Brazilian trans woman who immigrated to Portugal in search of a place where she could express her true identity without fear. The 360° VR experience reenacts her remarkable journey, which tragically culminates in one of the most publicized transphobic attacks in Portuguese history. Based on the meticulous research of 68 news articles, it weaves together the life story of Gisberta, largely omitted from mainstream discourse. The narrative is built from interviews with close friends, LGBTQ+ activists, queer institutions and artists. Presented in five acts, viewers embark on an immersive journey through the 45 years of Gisberta’s life. The experience is enriched by symbolic narration from Alexia Vitória, a Brazilian trans woman. Her voice does not seek to emulate Gisberta’s, but to amplify the collective voice of transphobia’s victims.
