“In the Name of Desire”, Dramatic Reading of Theatrical Version

In celebration of João Silvério Trevisan’s 80th birthday and the new edition of his first published novel, “Em Nome do Desejo,” we will hold a dramatic reading of the theatrical version originally presented in the 1980s, which recounts the queer master’s experience as a seminarian. The performances will be followed by a book signing session, not only of the new edition by Editora Record, but also of the unpublished novella “Os Sete Estágios da Agonia,” originally written in 1979 and published by O Sexo da Palavra.
