20h – Unreleased performance by Stéphane MALYSSE for the MIX-BRASIL Festival (SP), 1969-2024
Local – Vitrine do laboratório de Artes & Antropologia
rua Aureliano Coutinho, 58, Santa Cecília, Centro – SP

In homage to Michel Journiac’s performance held in Paris in 1969, at the Templon gallery (which still exists), this original reinterpretation features — as in the first edition — a gogo boy and six other characters from the LGBTQ+ world. Exposed as “artistic” prisoners to the public that freely wander the streets, the intention of the performance is to place the audience in a new situation of art viewing, where they are invited to spy on everything through the display, while remaining outside the artistic space. They become mere voyeurs, thus experiencing a form of relational art that at the same time encourages, distances, and divides the worlds.
