MIX.XR

Awarded in 2025 by WSA Brazil (World Summit Awards, a UN-affiliated initiative for digital innovation), Mix.XR has established itself as the leading showcase of immersive and technological experiences focused on diversity in Latin America. In this edition, the program features five virtual reality (VR) experiences and two immersive performances, reaffirming the MixBrasil Festival’s commitment to aesthetic experimentation and the dialogue between art, technology, and dissident identities.

Among the 2025 innovations, Mix.XR will include the installation of an immersive dome — a hemispheric 360° projection structure that offers the audience a fully sensorial experience where sound, image, and body intertwine. The highlight of the dome is Kancícà, a project that integrates technology, spirituality, and Afro-Brazilian culture, expanding the boundaries of audiovisual storytelling.
